Imperial Sugar Refinery Had Previous Explosion
A Georgia sugar refinery that was the scene of a blast that killed nine people experienced a small explosion weeks earlier, according to a federal investigator. The previous explosion was caused by the accumulation of dust in a piece of safety equipment, Stephen Selk of the Chemical Safety Board said.
