Warnings About Dopamine Agonists

A new study has shown that higher doses of dopamine agonists can lead to compulsive actions for those people who take these drugs. The drugs are often used to treat Parkinson's disease, Restless Leg Syndrome and other similar conditions. Researchers have stressed that doctors need to make loved ones aware of the possible side effects, especially considering that reducing the dosage may help control the problem.

Kennedy Hodges has handled Mirapex cases in the past and continues to take similar cases. The firm is currently investigating the drug Requip, also known as Ropinirole, which has been prescribed for movement disorders. Chantix, manufactured by Pfizer, is another drug that affects dopamine levels in the brain. It is prescribed to help people stop smoking and/or end nicotine dependence.
