Overtime Suit Filed Against UPS

A suit has been filed against United Parcel Service, Inc. alleging violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The suit claims account managers are not paid overtime and that UPS fails to properly track the number of hours employees work. The company's position is that account managers are correctly classified as exempt employees who do not qualify for overtime. Karen Jacobs and Robert MacMillan, Reuters 08/19/2009
