Mr. Cook was born and raised in rural West Virginia. The son of a police officer, he was always interested in the law. After being awarded the prestigious National Merit Scholarship and the President's Scholarship to The George Washington University, Mr. Cook left his mountain roots for the nation's capital. While attending GWU, Mr. Cook studied the foundations of western civilization, legal tradition and philosophy, earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in Classical Humanities, cum laude, with a minor field of study in Philosophy. Mr. Cook was honored by the George Washington University by the designation Honor's Scholar and with the Elton Prize, an annual award recognizing the highest achievement in Classical Greek.

Upon graduation, Mr. Cook was honored to be accepted by the George Washington University's elite Law School with a Jacob Burns Scholarship. While studying the law, Mr. Cook was privileged to work with one of the nation's largest person injury firms as a law clerk. In addition to his work, he also volunteered as a Case Worker for the Project for Older Prisoners (POPS), a pro bono organization of law students that assists in evaluating parole recommendations for elderly prisoners who are unlikely to re-offend. Mr. Cook had the privilege of studying trial advocacy from Professor Stephen Saltzburg, who quite literally wrote the book on Evidence Law.

After graduation Mr. Cook was immediately accepted as an associate attorney with a large personal injury law firm based in Washington, D.C. with offices in Maryland, Virginia, and D.C., with a nationwide practice. While working in the Rockville, Maryland office Mr. Cook had the opportunity to try dozens of cases before judges and juries, honing his skills as a trial lawyer. Mr. Cook also represented his clients before the Court of Special Appeals and argued before the Maryland Court of Appeals, the highest State Court in Maryland.

Mr. Cook recently arrived in Houston, and after a brief clerkship was accepted as an Associate Attorney by Kennedy Hodges, LLP. Since starting with KH Mr. Cook has worked closely with the partners on cases involving major trucking accidents, catastrophic injuries, defective products, and unpaid overtime claims. He is also involved in the firm's Medical Malpractice team, reviewing and litigating cases of medical carelessness.

Mr. Cook has been admitted to practice before the Texas Supreme Court and all State Courts of Texas, as well as the State and Federal Courts of Maryland. He is a member of the Texas Bar Associate, the Maryland State Bar Association, the American Association for Justice, and the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association.
