$900,000 Awarded in Inmate Suit

A Texas jury has ordered Dallas County to pay approximately $900,000 to a former inmate who was left partially paralyzed after he was denied medical care by the jail staff. According to the lawsuit , Stanley Shepherd was refused a prescribed blood pressure drug and subsequently suffered a seizure.
