Jury Awards Almost $4 Million in Failure to Diagnose Cancer Case

A Pennsylvania jury has ordered a doctor to pay almost $4 million after finding that he was partially negligent for failing to diagnose a woman's cancer. According to the lawsuit, Dr. Joseph M. Skutches failed to pursue a traditional course of treatment after Barbara Glasgow complained to him about a painful lump in her breast.
