A jury has ordered a cardiology practice to pay $1.6 million to the family of a woman who died after receiving the wrong prescription. According to the lawsuit, Sandra D. Koch was prescribed medication that doctors should have known was unsafe for patients suffering from kidney problems. An attorney for the defendants indicated that an appeal was likely.
