Playtex Sued Over BPA

A lawsuit filed in US District Court in Connecticut is seeking class-action status against Playtex Products for selling baby bottles with the chemical bisphenol A. In recent months, the chemical has come under increased scrutiny as a result of studies indicating it may cause health problems. The chemical industry insists that polycarbonate bottles are not a risk because they do not contain enough BPA to harm humans. John Christoffersen, The Washington Post 05/29/2008
