$8 Million Recovered in Wrongful Imprisonment Case

A California man settled his wrongful imprisonment case against the city of Long Beach for $8 million. He was wrongfully imprisoned for 24 years for murder. His suit claimed that his constitutional rights had been violated and that law enforcement officials did nothing to discover that the prosecutors' star witness was telling the truth.
