Avandia Causes Heart Problems

Two studies have found that Avandia (rosiglitazone) creates a risk of heart attacks and strokes. The studies have shown a significant increase in the risk for heart failure, stroke and even death. One study has found that Avandia raises the risk of heart attacks by 28-39% compared with other diabetes medications. In response, some lawmakers have called for Avandia to be pulled from the market.
