Starbucks announces expanded recall of ready-to-eat Bistro Boxes
Starbucks has issued a statement regarding the expansion of a food recall originally announced on July 19. The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) required an update to the current recall.
Flying Food Group, LLC, a Lawrenceville, Ga. Company, is one of Starbuck's suppliers for ready-to-eat chicken wraps and plates at Starbucks retail stores in Alabama and Georgia. The ready-to-eat chicken, turkey, beef and pork products were recalled July 19 and Flying Food Group has expanded the recall by an additional 6,901 pounds. The products may be contaminated with listeria monocytogenes.
