Personal Injury Attorney - Mr. Alexander M. Defreitas
in Texas, Houston
Houston personal injury attorney, Alexander M. Defreitas was born and raised in New York City, New York.
He moved to Texas to attend the SMU Dedman School of Law in 2000 on a
partial scholarship in August, 2000. He has made Texas his adopted home
ever since.
Mr. Defreitas attended the prestigious Townsend Harris High School in
New York before moving onto the State University of New York at Albany.
He worked during the last three years of college to further his
education and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Political
Science in May, 2000. Upon graduation, Mr. Defreitas immediately began
law school.
While at the SMU Dedman School of Law, Mr. Defreitas participated in a
number of different groups, including the Board of Advocates, Corporate
Law Society, and Intellectual Property Society. He was a Semi-Finalist
in the Howie & Sweenie Moot Court Competition and named to the Dean's
List Spring 2002. Mr. Defreitas worked as a law clerk for one of the
nation's top personal injury law firms during his third year of law
school.
After graduation, Mr. Defreitas worked as an Assistant District Attorney
for Harris County where he tried over 70 cases. Mr. Defreitas then moved
to Victoria, Texas to practice commercial and employment litigation with
Brown & Associates.
