Case Update: January 2016
At the end of 2015, Kennedy Hodges L.L.P. sued Grant Production Testing Services, Inc., a Canadian company doing business in the United States for paying its well testing work force a day rate without overtime. After taking limited discovery, we moved for conditional certification under the Fair Labor Standards Act and class certification for Grant's violation of Pennsylvania state law. Grant has determined not to oppose those motions therefore it is likely that in the near future the court will authorize us to send notice to the rest of Grant's workforce so we can assist those employees in receiving their unpaid wages.
