A family of five was injured and sent to the hospital early this morning after a car accident. According to KHOU News, the collision occurred at 1:15 a.m. on a frontage road when a white pickup truck slammed into the family's vehicle after one of the cars ran a red light. According to police, the truck was traveling southbound when it collided with the family's four-door hatchback. Five passengers were sent to the hospital; two adults and three children. News sources indicate that the adults were in serious condition while the three children remained in stable condition. At least one of the passengers was transported to a medical facility via Life Flight; the others were carried by ambulance. Law enforcement did indicate which vehicle was at fault.
