A Houston father has been charged with criminally negligent homicide and endangering a child as a result of letting his daughter drive his vehicle. His daughter struck and killed a man and his dog while she was driving.

The crash occurred on Beverly Hill Street at Fountain View in an apartment complex. The man who was killed was walking his dog. There was a two-year-old in the backseat of the vehicle. Initially, the father told police he was driving, but they discovered he was driving. Police are uncertain why the girl was driving. The girl is at home with her family. The father posted bond and was released but was taken into ICE custody after he bonded out.
