Houston Driver Killed in Accident Involving 18-Wheeler

Last week, a driver was killed in east Houston in an accident with a tractor trailer. A man was driving a Buick LaSabre southbound on the 610 east loop when he rear ended a tractor trailer that had stopped in a lane of traffic after running out of gas. The driver, age 65, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tractor trailers can be very dangerous to other vehicles on the road, even when they are not in motion. Their sheer size can mean that anyone that comes into contact with them can be seriously injured. If the tractor trailer is traveling at a high rate of speed, it can be extremely dangerous to other vehicles on the road that cross its path.

Individuals who are injured in an accident with an 18 wheeler have legal rights. They may be entitled to file a personal injury lawsuit, and could recover damages for pain and suffering, lost wages, medical expenses, and more. The driver and/or the trucking company may be held liable for damages.
