Unfortunately, hit and run accidents are not uncommon throughout the U.S. Hit and run accidents are some of the worst types of accidents – not only are the victims typically severely injured and left without help, the victims are also left without anyone who can take responsibility for their actions. However, many hit and run car accidents are compensable when a claim is filed with the accident victim’s automobile insurance company.
Often, when hit and run accidents occur in Houston, the accident victim needs an attorney to help receive financial compensation. The compensation can either be recovered from a hit and run driver (if found), or from their own insurance company in the form of an uninsured motorist claim. The accident victim is entitled to compensation for lost wages, pain and suffering, medical expenses, and more.If you have been the victim of a hit and run driver in Houston, you should speak with an attorney.
