Emergency Medical Technicians Paid Owed Overtime

Kennedy Hodges, L.L.P. successfully represented a class of Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) that were denied overtime pay from their employer. The employer misclassified these workers as exempt under the federal motor carrier act and the professional exemption.

We pursued a temporary restraining order from a Houston federal judge to prevent the employer from taking any action against the current and former employees. Ultimately the employer paid all of the back pay owed plus a large portion of the employees' attorney's fees.
